The gold was seized from a male passenger traveling from Dubai to Trichy.

By India Today Web Desk: The air intelligence unit at Trichy airport seized 14 rolls of thin long gold threads worth more than Rs 12 lakh on Thursday.

The 250 grams of gold was seized from a male passenger who was traveling from Dubai to Trichy on an IndiGo flight.

Suspicious, officials searched the man and found gold threads hidden in the veil he was wearing.

According to the officials, the seized gold was valued at around Rs 12,84,869.
