Four Montreal men face 105 charges after being arrested in Mississauga, Ontario. early Thursday morning while allegedly attempting to steal a car from a parking lot.
In a press release on Thursday, Peel Regional Police said they were called to a “car theft” at around 3:25 a.m. on the property at Dixie Road and Matheson Boulevard East.
When officers arrived, they arrested the four men and seized car keys, a key reprogrammer and burglary tools, police said in the release.
One of the men is 18, the other three are 23.
Police said all four are charged with:
- Theft of a motor vehicle.
- Possession of a device for unauthorized use of a computer system or for mischief.
- Possession of burglary tools.
- Had a master key to a car 23 times.
One of the 23-year-olds is also charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Police said the charges follow an “active car theft investigation”.
All four men appeared in Ontario District Court in Brampton on Thursday for their bail hearings.
