David Costabile has been married to Eliza Baldi for over ten years. Before meeting, the two had been in the entertainment industry for a long time. They ran alone and unopposed. However, it wasn’t until they met and started dating that Costabile found his match, both personally and professionally.
Marriage and children of David Costabile and Eliza Baldi
It’s unclear when Costabile and Baldi first met, but by the late 2000s, they were already starting to think about getting married. On Friday, July 22, 2011, they got engaged. The only thing they mention on their wedding registry website about how it happened is that they were in San Francisco. The wedding took place a little over a year later. According to their records, the couple married on June 16, 2012, in front of their family and friends at Kings Oaks Farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. However, it’s worth noting that their wedding date is listed on IMDb as June 25, 2012.
Their wedding theme was inspired by the ‘last moment of Felini’s Amacord’. The celebration ended with a family-style Italian outdoor meal in the middle of a field. Costabile and Baldi wanted to have children pretty soon. Lucy Rae Costabile, their first child, was born in July 2015. Julia Grace Costabile, their second child, was born in March 2017. The family of four took a trip to Ireland after Julia was born. On August 10, 2018, Baldi joked on Instagram that she should carry her daughter’s favorite doll to the bar when she needed a drink.
“Holiday in Ireland with a one-year-old just means taking dolly to the bar,” she wrote alongside a photo of a pink-clad doll being placed in front of a tall glass of Guinness and some peanuts. There are no recent reports of their children from either parent. The family lives in the Brooklyn neighborhood of New York.
David Costabile met his match in the industry.
Despite not being a big name in Hollywood, Costabile is an industry veteran. He’s done it all: movies, TV shows, and plays. The Good Wife actor, an MFA graduate of New York University, even taught acting when things got tough for him at first. However, if he is a master of his craft, his wife is probably better than him. She, who also has an MFA from New York University, is undoubtedly more capable than he is, at least on paper.
If Costabile has done it all in acting, Baldi has done it all in a broader sense: she has experience in both theater and acting in front of the camera, as well as directing and teaching acting, directing and text analysis at prestigious institutions including the one where she graduated. Her teaching and directing resume far surpasses his, and her theatrical experience is likely to do the same. She has provided him with sound advice over the years. Costabile recalled one of them, claiming that Baldi had told him to always be ready to grab his luck if it came his way.
