Reproduction rights are fundamental and non-negotiable human rights that we must fight to protect.
The Reproductive Rights Bundle TTRPGs includes over 275 games valued at over $1,000 for just $5. All proceeds from sales benefit the National Abortion Fund Network and Planned Parenthood. One of the games in the bundle is the abortion doctorsa LARP (or live-action role-playing game) that seems to touch on the story of the Jane Collectivea group of women in Illinois who previously offered underground abortion services in 1972 Roe v. Wade legalized abortion at the federal level.
Reproductive Rights TTRPGs isn’t alone in supporting abortion rights. After news of the leaked Supreme Court opinion came out, Bungie became the first video game company to speak outcondemns the news and offers support to its employees.
“Bungie is committed to protecting the freedom and privacy of its employees and to supporting all employees affected by this decision,” the Bungie statement said. Psychonauts 2 developer Double Fine also spoke out, saying:“We firmly believe that a decision to undo” Roe vs. wade deny people their human rights and have a direct impact on the lives, freedoms and choices of everyone in this country.”
Itch.io has become the go-to site for charity play activities. In March, the platform organized a bundle for Ukrainian aid, which made more than $1 million on its first day. In 2020, the platform has also raised more than $8 million in its Bundle for Racial Justice and Equalityin support of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund and Community Bail Fund† Reproductive rights TTRPGs seem on track to have similar success. Originally, the goal for the bundle was $2,500, but after just over four hours of going live, that goal has more than doubled. The Reproductive Rights Bundle TTRPGs expires on June 13.
