Per The Hollywood Reporter† AMC Networks has tapped Fear of the walking dead supervising producer Anna Fishko to write and show run Orphan Black: Echoes, a new series set in the near future of the original. The new show, which will be executive produced and directed by John Fawcett, will follow the lives of a new group of women who are gradually beginning to realize how closely connected their origins are – despite the fact that none of them know each other. Seen how the original Black orphan came to an end, it is unclear whether echoes Will Maslany return to reprise one of her core roles in the Clone Club or one of the dozens of other Leda clones still alive in the world by the series finale. Currently, Orphan Black: Echoes has no set release date, but AMC expects the series to premiere sometime in 2023.
