A single wild elephant roaming near Hosur – public in fear
Early this morning, a single wild elephant was seen in the Kelamangalam area near Hosur in Krishnagiri district and people are frightened.
In recent days, more than 60 wild elephants have camped in Sanamavu, Dhenkanikottai, Nagamangalam and other areas. Staatsbosbeheer advises the public to be safe. After this, the forest management takes measures to monitor the movement of elephants and prevent them from entering the countryside from the forest areas.
In this case, a single wild elephant threatening the public yesterday near Palakodu in Dharmapuri district was captured by the forestry department by administering an anesthetic injection. In this situation, the people are scared because a single elephant is walking this morning in Bodichipalli village near Kelamangalam.
After this, the forestry department monitors the elephant’s movements and advises the public to be safe. They also warn not to go to areas where elephants roam. The public wants to chase this single elephant into the forest area; have requested.
