Actors impersonate fired Twitter employees who carry boxes outside HQ

There are many problems with what these two men say to reporters. Most notably, a man identifies himself as a software engineer named “Rahul Ligma.” The edge has confirmed that the name does not exist in Twitter’s Slack or email system. There is also no proof that the employee exists on LinkedIn.

“Ligma” is, of course, also an internet hoax designed to provoke the “lick my balls” response from people who understand the joke. That did not stop several points of sale, including CNBC and Bloombergof the headlines Friday said fired Twitter employees were leaving the building with boxes.
