By India Today Web Desk: Several people belonging to the Adivasi communities blocked roads in Bankura in West Bengal in protest at the comment made by Akhil Giri, Minister of Trinamool, of the Congress of Trinamool.
Protesters also stopped TMC minister Jyotsna Mandi’s car.
POLICE COMPLAINT AGAINST AKHIL GIRI AT ODISHA’S RAIRANGPUR
Odisha’s Rairangpur MLA Nab Charan Manji has filed a police complaint against TMC Minister Akhil Giri for his derogatory comments about President Droupadi Murmu.
Rairangpur is the birthplace of President Murmu and from there she was elected MLA.
The complaint stated that Giri had dishonored women and the ST/SC communities and demanded immediate arrest of Giri.

Earlier on Saturday, the BJP stepped up its attack with a protest march against Mamata Banerjee’s minister in the tribal-dominated Jhargram district.
BJP workers set fire to tires and blocked roads in protest at the comments. The BJP has also written to the National Commission for Women (NCW) to demand the “immediate arrest” of the leader of the Trinamool Congress. The women’s panel also took note of the case.
“It is a most despicable act, it cannot be forgiven under any circumstances, nor can it be omitted at any time,” the BJP said in its letter to the women’s panel.
