I don’t know about you, but fall is my favorite season of the year. The leaves are falling, the air is fresh and the tops of the mountains are starting to sprinkle with snow. Since I’m not the biggest fan of Haloween, I love to decorate my house with super cute fall decorations. I’ve found 11 of the cutest DIY decor items that are both cheap and cute. Ballin’ on a student budget makes for fun craft evenings instead of buying the items at a ridiculous mass production price.
1. FALL Mason Jars
Go to a thrift or dollar store and buy glass jars and fake flowers and leaves. You can find the paint and rope at Walmart for a few bucks. Paint the letters on the pots or spend some extra money on the burlap material. There you go! Super simple and very festive.
2. Jar of Pumpkins
The easiest of all. Again, these glass jars can be found at any dollar store. At this time of year, there are mini pumpkins everywhere!
3. Leaf garland
Buy a bundle of fake leaves, glitter spray paint, ribbon and a hole punch. This would be super cute over a fireplace or window frame!
4. Candlestick holder
Simple and straight to the point, these would be super cute as a dinner or Thanksgiving centerpiece!
5. Glitter Pumpkins
Grab some pumpkins, paint, glitter, and glue; you will have a sparkle to brighten up your home in no time.
6. Chocolate Pumpkin Bread
I can’t wait to try this out! Click on the photo to go to the recipe.
7. Apples
With some apple cider around a campfire, this would make a great snack.
8. Apple Cider Cocktail
Speaking of apples… this sounds phenomenal.
9. Scarves
Wearing a scarf is my favorite way to stay cozy this season.
10. Hats
And beanies are the best way to keep your brain warm for all those midterm tests this semester. Hats are also useful for second-day hair or if you’re in between washes!
11. Boots!
My favorite part of fall clothing is wearing warm boots! There are many different brands and prices for this particular style. But if they’re not yours, those boot socks are super cute too!
