Early life and education
Ben was raised in Queens by his father, who was a factory worker, and his mother, who was a nurse – an uncle dealt drugs and was sent to prison when Ben was 15.
Ben’s family was quite poor, and sometimes they couldn’t afford to pay the rent as well as put food on the table.
This got Ben interested in making money, and he became a con man who cheated on people for money at the age of 14. He had good grades in elementary school, but shortly after enrolling in high school, he decided to quit and started working on the streets of Queens. Known as a teenage swindler, he did all the work he could get his hands on, such as being a messenger for rich people, but he was also involved in suspicious companies and worked in the office.
Career as a real estate magnate
Ben was always against drugs and after his uncle ended up in prison, he promised himself that he would have nothing to do with it.
He joined the United States Army at age 18, and after four years stationed in Oakland, California, began doing other work such as moving house and helping people with work around their flats. When the owner of the building Ben lived in noticed, he put him in charge of that building, and not long after, Ben took over all of the man’s property.
So Ben spent his spare time learning about the real estate industry, and after he finished the military, he started working at Wilton’s Marwil Investments, where he was responsible for managing, buying and selling real estate.
After making enough money, Ben started working for himself, looking for abandoned or derelict properties, and would renovate them before selling them for a profit.
His first major investment was when he bought a building for $9 million, later sold it for $12 million, and made most of his wealth in 2012, when the market was perfect for selling his remodeled properties – it is believed that he earned over $70 million that year. He used the money he earned to invest in hotels and has now sold almost all of them, but has kept the ones he thought would make good money makers. He currently owns seven hotels, such as the Sheraton Tampa Suites Airport, and currently employs 500 people.
Ben is a fan of cars, and part of his job and hobby is restoring fast and vintage cars, as he became popular worldwide, especially among the fans of the movies “Batman”, after he bought the Batmobile that was released in the movie “Batman Returns”.

Ben’s wife Karla Nila came to the US from Mexico alone at the age of seven to live with her grandparents. Her parents abandoned her not long after she was born, and she ended up living with her grandparents and four other people in a two-bedroom flat. When she was 14, Ben, who was 34 at the time, bought their building and gave Karla’s grandfather the job as the building’s maintenance manager. Shortly afterwards, as Ben grew closer with Karla’s family, he moved them to a safer locationand gave them all jobs primarily related to looking after the building he let them live in.
When Karla was 18, Ben proposed to her and they’ve been together for over 16 years now. Ben has two sons Ben Mallah Jr. and Vinson Mallah, with a woman he dated long before meeting Karla, while giving birth to their son Aaron Mallah sometime in the late 2000s. Ben Mallah Jr. Following in his father’s footsteps, he is in the real estate business, Vinson runs several of his father’s hotels, while Aaron, who is 13, slowly learns more about his father’s business.

Ben has been interested in comedy since his teens and most of his friends and colleagues believe that he is “the funniest man in the room”. He enjoys watching stand-up comedy shows, as well as actors like Jim Carrey, Eddie Murphy and Robin Williams, and their movies like “Liar Liar”, “Meet Dave” and “Dead Poets Society”. One of Ben’s favorite things to do is drive to a building he plans to buy, while he especially enjoys driving his car along the ocean around Florida.
