What are the best Apple Arcade games in 2022? The concept of a subscription-based gaming service is good, and Apple Arcade’s service, particularly in India, is excellent value for money. Apple Arcade, which is Rs. 99 per month, has a large library of games and is constantly adding new ones so that users can enjoy premium games without having to make in-app purchases. Sports, racing, role-playing and adventure are just a handful of the genres represented in the collection.

A number of well-known franchises and classic titles have been redesigned and optimized for the Apple Arcade. Apple Arcade is compatible with iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV, among others. I’ve put together a list of the best Apple Arcade games I’ve played since the service’s inception, and these are my top picks, in no particular order.

Alto’s Odyssey – Remastered

Alto’s Odyssey Remastered, the successor to the famous Alto’s Adventure, brings back in style the superb mechanics, environmental design and artistic gameplay of its predecessor. Alto’s Odyssey is a standard endless runner game optimized for Apple Arcade and features fascinating objectives that become more challenging as you progress, as well as an upbeat soundtrack and a new special ‘Lost City’ biome for the platform.

Another major difference is the landscape, which has shifted from snowy mountain slopes to a much larger globe with sandy desert terrain, ancient ruins and climbable rock cliffs. Alto and his companions, the protagonists, return with all their powers intact. If you like the original landscapes and gameplay, Alto’s Adventure is now available in a remastered edition on Apple Arcade.

Creaks is a beautiful, enigmatic world with breathtaking artwork, evocative music and hard puzzle-solving mechanics from renowned indie game developer Amanita Design. The player takes on the character of an unnamed, mild-mannered protagonist who descends from his bedroom to a mansion inhabited by strange but friendly birds of the Victorian era in this side-scrolling platformer.

While there is plenty to see and do while exploring, the focus of the game is on solving puzzles. These take the form of figuring out how to avoid countless monsters that turn into household items when exposed to light. Creaks is best played with headphones because the soundtrack is so essential to the game.

Mini highways

Mini Motorways is, in my opinion, the best casual game currently available on Apple Arcade, and a game I return to regularly. The premise of the game is simple: you use an intricate network of roads, bridges, tunnels, roundabouts and traffic lights to connect homes and workplaces. This procedure, like any emerging metropolis, will become more challenging over time. The higher your score, the longer you can keep the network running without it collapsing from overload.

The cityscapes are modeled after real-life locations with similar physical qualities, such as Los Angeles, Dubai, Munich, Beijing, and many others, adding to the game’s appeal. The dynamic soundtrack adapts to your ability to maintain a smooth, fluid network, adding to the tone and feel of this beautiful game. Mini Metro+, from the same developer, is available on Apple Arcade and offers similar, albeit simpler, gameplay and mechanics.

Simon’s Cat – Story Time

Match 3 puzzle games are popular, but Simon’s Cat – Story Time stands out for several reasons. Most importantly, Apple Arcade makes this game completely free to play, with no powerups or in-app purchases to slow you down. The game is based on the popular web cartoon and book series of the same name and tells a simple story about what happens near the eponymous character.

You have to achieve different goals, for which you have to solve match-3 puzzles of increasing difficulty and with increasing obstacles and situations. The simplicity and casual nature of the game make it easy to return to, and fans of the web cartoon series will appreciate the storyline and the characters’ integration into the gameplay.

Sneaky Sasquatch

Sneaky Sasquatch was one of the first games to be released on Apple Arcade and it remains one of the best role-playing games on the platform to this day. You play as a quiet Sasquatch living in a national park, who starts out foraging for food in trash cans and campsites before moving on to more important chores and missions.

The game’s intriguing premise is effectively supported by beautiful illustrations and simple gameplay. The fun story and characters will appeal to gamers of all ages, and several mini-games will keep you entertained.

Many of Apple Arcade’s games are mobile-friendly and keep it simple, but Spyder stands out for its visual quality and game mechanics. You play as Agent 8, a charming robot spider who must complete spy missions for a fictional British intelligence agency.

The basic gameplay consists of physics-based exploration and problem solving, where Agent 8’s small size and mobility allow it to do things that humans can’t. Despite its short length, the James Bond-esque idea, retro environment and immersive level-based gameplay make this a game that people of all ages will love.

the toadless one

While Apple Arcade has a plethora of fantasy adventure games, The Pathless stands out for its rich, fast-paced action, breathtaking open-world scenery, and intuitive design that helps you figure out what to do next. The game doesn’t have a mini-map for navigation, so you’ll have to rely on spirit vision to travel across the cursed island.

The hunter is the main character of the game, a skilled archer who, with the help of an eagle friend, must use her powers to explore and fight mystical opponents. With attractive artwork and a rich open-world scenario worth exploring, the game is equally terrifying, beautiful, exciting and fascinating.

what the wave

What The Golf, arguably the “craziest” game on Apple Arcade yet, is technically a golf game, but it isn’t. Lots of subtle digs into how boring golf is, while the game itself reinvents the sport with a variety of other items such as benches, vehicles, animals, and missiles.

The main objective of each level is to get a ball into a hole or at least make contact with the flag. There are tons of stages, different ways to complete goals, and tons of secret goals to allow you to complete 100%. The artwork is simple yet attractive, making this game one of our top picks from the Apple Arcade library.

Wylde Flowers

Wylde Flowers is a farming and life simulation game similar to Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. It is an extremely captivating game with a gripping story of magic and witchcraft. Tara Wylde, who returns to help her grandmother run the family farm on a small rural island, is the protagonist of the game. You must focus on creating relationships, managing your personal health and well-being, and learning your magical powers, in addition to tending and improving the farm.

Aside from the hours of immersive action, Wylde Flowers stands out for its emphasis on inclusivity and diversity, featuring people of many races, sexual orientations, and religious views. The game explores topics such as xenophobia and bigotry in a delicate and elegant way. It’s one of the best-made games on the Apple Arcade platform right now, and it’s definitely worth playing.
