By Pankaj JainMLA Saurabh Bhardwaj is working to stop the Aam Aadmi party’s campaign in Gujarat, MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj said after Delhi’s deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia was summoned earlier today by the Central Bureau of Investigation, or the CBI. The agency is likely to arrest Sisodia, Bhardwaj claimed.
The whole thing is a premeditated conspiracy, the AAP said in a scorching attack on the BJP.
“The CBI subpoena has nothing to do with excise policy; they will call Manish Sisodia to their office and arrest him. The CBI and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) have so far raided 500 sites across the country. They haven’t found any evidence. Just wait & watch. The more you (the BJP) arrest AAP leaders, the stronger the party will grow in Gujarat,” said Bhardwaj.
“I can say this with confidence and responsibility that we are all confident that Manish Sisodia will be arrested by the CBI on behalf of the BJP,” he added.

“Until now, these people have unfoundedly claimed an alleged scam of Rs 10,000 crore in the excise case. They claim that Sisodia pocketed this money. The whole exercise is so brutally charted that before, when they sent their dogs after us, they flashed sensational headlines. Now, there’s not a single ticker about this. These agencies are silently raiding across the country and quietly coming back empty-handed.”
The MLA further claimed that the CBI raided Manish Sisodia’s home for 14 hours and interrogated him throughout the day. “They searched his bank vault and went to his village. Still, they found no missing cash, property, benami assets, or anything. The whole action against Manish Sisodia has nothing to do with excise policy at all – the BJP doesn’t care. This whole conspiracy is being hatched because of the elections in Gujarat,” he said.
“The BJP is upset. Their frustration is for the world to see. The CBI will arrest Manish Sisodia tomorrow to stop the month-long campaign he has planned in Gujarat. But I want to make it clear to the BJP – the AAP is here before you, unfazed by your tactics. Your slander will do us no harm. You can break our bones, but not our spirit,” the party said.
