Google’s latest update for ChromeOS is rolling out to users this week, and one of the new features is support for switching to a dark theme, such as 9to5Google reported. Previously hidden behind developer flags during testing, it finally made an official debut on ChromeOS 104, following the dark mode settings popping up more in other Google products.

In a Google blog post citing the incoming feature, the company says the new dark theme would make it easier to “read at night or in low light and to save power,” with switching to a light theme changing the entire UI and background to make things easier. “to make clear” and lighthearted.” Until now, ChromeOS only included a “Nightlight” setting in the software to help you look at your screen in low light by changing the screen tint.
