Danny Javier, a well-known singer, musician, composer, actor, television personality and businessman died on October 31, 2022 at the age of 75. His relatives made the announcement. Danny’s daughter Justine said on Facebook:
“Our doll never stopped fighting for what he loved, believed in and was passionate about, both in life and in death.” He left this world with his passion and willpower intact, and we know he wouldn’t have it any other way.”
According to Justine, Danny Javier died due to “complications after a long illness”. Danny’s brother George told ABS-CBN News that he died of a heart attack at the National Kidney and Transplant Institute around 5 p.m.
The Death of Danny Javier
Danny’s medical history is unclear, therefore there is no information about his illness and details of his hospitalization. Danny’s friend Jim Paredes also spoke to ABS-CBN and revealed that he spent time with Danny before his death. He was in critical condition at the time. Jim stated:
“I was able to visit him and we talked for 45 minutes.” He improved until something happened.”
Danny was hospitalized in 2011 after being diagnosed with pneumonia, kidney failure, liver failure, hepatitis A, emphysema, congestive heart failure, and sepsis. Later he advocated moringa as traditional and alternative medicine. According to Manila Standard, in February 2022, Danny said he was suffering from congestive heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He was also undergoing peritoneal dialysis at the time.

Who was Danny Javier?
Born on August 6, 1947, Daniel Morales Javier was a member and lead singer of The APO Hiking Society, a musical trio that also included Boboy Garrovillo and Jim Paredes. APO was dissolved in 2010. Javier created several songs throughout his career including Pumpatak ang Ulan, Kaibigan, Kabilugan ng Buwan, Di Na Natuto, Awit ng Barkada, Lumang Tugtugin, Isang Dangkal and others.
Danny then founded Pidro: Ang Saplot Ng Bayan, a T-shirt company. Danny designed a character called Pidro, which inspired the name. Pidro is a man from the Philippine countryside who comes to Manila in search of happiness. Javier also supported Rodrigo Duterte’s campaign in the 2016 Philippine presidential election and Leni Robredo’s candidacy in the 2022 Philippine presidential election. Danny’s daughter Justine and other family members survive him.
