Delhi News | Delhi BJP Yuva Morcha President Vasu Rukhar Banned From Organisation, Knows Reason

New DelhiNew Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) youth wing chairman Vasu Rukhar was expelled from the organization on Friday days after a controversy erupted over the alleged kidnapping of his daughter. Virendra Sachdeva, the working president of the BJP in Delhi, has sent a letter asking for the termination of Rukhar’s primary membership and his expulsion from the party.

“In view of your behavior and activities, you are immediately relieved of your primary membership and expelled from the party with immediate effect,” the letter signed by the Delhi BJP president said. “The daughter of Bharatiya Janata Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Delhi President was allegedly abducted from Jhandewalan in central Delhi on Wednesday and left at a temple in Maurice Nagar,” the police said.

However, BJP sources claimed that Rukher’s wife was forced to give up their one-and-a-half-year-old daughter because she was harassed for having three daughters. There was no immediate reaction from Rukher to his impeachment.

BJP sources said the decision to expel Rukher was made on the basis of the police investigation and an internal investigation by the party. A senior police officer said the investigation showed the baby girl’s mother had “deliberately” abandoned the child and later called the police control room (PCR).

“We suspect he did this to get rid of the girl, but we are still investigating the reason behind his action,” he said. The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) had also sent a notice to the police in connection with the alleged kidnapping of Rukher’s daughter. (desk)
