Digital health startup in Sydney Andi Health has raised $600,000 in pre-seed funding.

The round was led by Melbourne VC Brenteca Investments† The money will go to Andi to build what it says is “the world’s first human health coach in your pocket”.

Andi’s subscription-based health management platform integrates a suite of health devices and analytics and combines them with personalized coaching for better health outcomes.

Founded by Akshin Goswami, David Corbineau, Gloria Yu and Luke Grana in 2020. Grana, the CEO of Andi, was driven to build the platform when he wanted to improve his health, but he couldn’t find a simple solution at an affordable price.

“After visiting my GP, I learned that I had high blood pressure and high cholesterol, which put me at risk for heart disease and diabetes. I tried wearables, activity trackers and partnered with a health coach to get healthier,” he said.

“Then I realized how scattered and expensive it was. Inspired to change this, I decided to build a better way and bring all three elements together, at an affordable price.”

In addition to accelerating product development for a 2023 launch date, Grana said Andi Health is also ramping up its local recruiting plans.

Its co-founder, Gloria Yu, Andi’s product head, said that in Australia, 80% of premature deaths are caused by chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, obesity and sleep disorders.

The program gives subscribers an easy way to track their stats: daily activity, sleep, recovery, blood pressure, body fat percentage, and then reach their health goals with monthly sessions with a health coach.

“Today you can track your health in endless ways. It’s great to know your health records, but most people don’t know what to do now,” she said.

“Connecting people with a health coach is what sets us apart. People now have a way to understand their health status and adopt healthier habits that fit personal goals and circumstances. We have designed a platform that will change the way home care is managed; I am excited that people experience our approach.”

Brenteca Partner and COO Luke Horton said: “We see the clear opportunity that an integrated solution has to drive health outcomes and overcome the challenges of today’s fragmented customer experience. Andi’s vision and offering has the potential to make meaningful progress and empower people to manage their health.”

The monthly subscriptions start at $40 and anyone in Australia, Hong Kong and the US can access the six-month program today. Program enrollment begins May 1, 2022.
