Fans of Disney’s mid-90s production got a surprise surprise this week. During the recent gaming showcase, the company revealed it was remastering gargoyles. next aladdin and The lionkingthe 1995 release of Sega Genesis is one of the highlights of Disney’s game catalog.
If you are not familiar with the game, it is based on the animated series of the same name. gargoyles initially aired between 1994 and 1997. Although it was a modest success then, it has since become a cult classic thanks to its compelling story and a great voice cast including Star Trek: The Next Generations Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis.
Empty Clip Studios, best known for his work on Dead Island Retro Revenge, remasters the game for modern consoles and PC. The 1995 original is known as one of the best looking games in the Genesis library. It also featured a soundtrack by Michael Giacchino, who later went on to work The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Lost and Rogue One — among a host of other high-profile movies and TV shows. The remaster has no release date yet.
