“There are two aspects to this issue. One of these is the DMK trying to divert the current mismanagement of the government and divert attention to the governor. Second, if the DMK talks about the secular nature of the government, why is the CM selective in wishing the people of the state during different festivals?” asked the AIAMDK speaker.

The AIDMK spokesperson’s statement came after DMK MP TR Balu wrote to MPs from DMK and other like-minded parties to sign a memorandum to be sent to the president to request the resignation of Governor RN Ravi. TR Baalu ​​requested that the memorandum be signed on or before November 3.

Congressional senior leader P Chidambaram took to social media on Nov. 3 to show support for TR Baalu’s appeal.

Chidambaram had tweeted: “I support the petition to recall the governor of Tamil Nadu, which will be signed by MPs from the DMK, Congress and other alliance parties.”

The DMK and its allies recently released a statement criticizing Governor RN Ravi. They demanded that he resign if he wanted to make statements that violate the constitution and sow divisiveness.

“If Governor RN Ravi speaks against the constitution to please the BJP leadership in anticipation of a major post, then he should resign from office or stop making comments and start speaking responsibly,” the leaders of the Secular Progressive Alliance said in a statement. declaration.
