Tom Selleck legally adopted Kevin on the 7e August 1987, when he was married to his mother Jacqueline and Kevin changed his surname to Selleck afterwards – when he was 19. Tom and Jacqueline were together for more than a decade and ended their relationship in August 1982. However, Tom remained an essential part of Kevin’s life even after their divorce.
