It’s been over a year since Mediatonic confirmed Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout came to Xbox and Nintendo Switch. After some delay, the wait is almost over. The ridiculously fun Battle Royale platformer is coming to those platforms on June 21, as well as the Epic Games Store. A special PlayStation 5 version is also on the way. Full cross-play and cross-progression will also be available on all platforms.
Moreover, autumn boys goes free to play. Epic made a similar move with Rocket League after seizing Psyonix. Existing players on PlayStation and Steam will receive a legacy pack with three costumes and some other bonuses. Newcomers who pre-register may also claim some swag.
It’s not a big shock that autumn boys Coming to the Epic Games Store – Epic bought Mediatonic parent Tonic Games Group last year. Users need an Epic account to play autumn boys since November, when cross-progression was added.
Soon you will be able to play Fall Guys for free on ALL PLATFORMS!

A new season will also start on June 21. Mediatonic resets the counter and calls it season one. It will be the first seasonal update since November and, as always, there will be new levels and more cosmetics.
For the first time, there is a premium (ie paid) season pass with 100 levels and additional cosmetic items. Those who receive the legacy pass will receive free access to the premium season pass for season one. There is still a free season pass available with other items to unlock.
Crowns are no longer used for currency to purchase items in the store. The crown rank feature is enhanced with more rewards. Unspent crowns will be converted into kudos, which will be the only in-game currency going forward. Costumes on the way include Ezio from the Assassin’s Creed series, along with Mecha Godzilla and Mothra.
Another big update is coming: a level creator. This was billed as “under construction” and while it won’t be out anytime soon, it’s an exciting feature to look forward to.
The game debuted on PS4 and Steam in August 2020 and was an instant hit. In just a few days, it garnered millions of players on PC, becoming the most claimed game in PlayStation Plus history at the time. Looks like players have numbers dropped quite a bit since the early days — with increasingly longer seasons probably didn’t help. However, the arrival of autumn boys on more platforms, the free-to-play shift and a new season should all bring new and expired players into the fold.
