One Piece Episode 1015 has taken the internet by storm after its highly anticipated release on Crunchyroll April 24, 2022.

Eiichiro Oda’s masterpiece, One Piece, has been featured in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump magazine since July 1997. It was made into an anime television series by Toei Animation in October 1999.

For over two decades, Oda has managed to deliver excellent chapters every week. On January 3, 2021, he accomplished another feat when One Piece Chapter 1000 titled “Strawhat Luffy” was released. The most recent installment in the anime, One Piece 1015, adapts this chapter.

One Piece is a series with over a thousand episodes, and over the years there have been many incredible ones. Still, One Piece Episode 1015 is a cut above the rest. For many fans, it is not only the best One Piece episode, but also the best anime episode.

What makes One Piece Episode 1015 the best?

So what makes this particular episode so incredible? There are three main factors.

  • Megumi Ishitani- Looking at some of the best One Piece episodes of recent times, most people will list episodes 1015, 982, and 957 as their top 3. There is one thing that is common in these episodes. They are all directed by Megumi Ishitani.
Fans praise Megumi Ishitani for her work.

Toei Animation’s child prodigy has continuously released some of the best-produced and directed anime episodes ever. Her artistic virtuosity, creative ingenuity and general understanding of cinematic cadence are mind-boggling.

  • the animation Lead animators Masami Mori and Hirotaka Ito and their team did a fantastic job bringing Ishitani’s storyboard to life. Toei Animation has often been criticized for its animation quality compared to other studios such as Ufotable. But in this latest Wano arc, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Wano is in a different league in terms of manufacturing quality compared to other bows. And the production quality of One Piece Episode 1015 is even comparable to Ufotable’s latest Demon Slayer movie.

  • The story- One Piece is a grand adventure and the latest arc, Wano, has been in production since 2019. And with One Piece Episode 1015, Luffy is finally ready to end the raid. He defeated Kaido with a brand new attack and announced himself to 2 Emperors by hitting them with the classic “Kaizoku oni naru otoko da.” This episode of One Piece spawned 25 years of hype in just 20 minutes.

The extra material Toei has added outside of the manga panels to wash out the characters even more, as well as Megumi’s creative freedom Ishitani took, made this episode stand out.
