In 2014, James Gunn surprised everyone when he took relatively unknown characters from Marvel Comics and turned them into one of the most beloved teams of superheroes and space adventurers on screen. As a result, fans were very excited when Marvel Studios confirmed Guardian Of the Galaxy 3. Now that the movie has finished shooting, many believe that actor Dave Batista spilled some spoiler beans about the film.
Did Dave Batista Spoil Guardians Of The Galaxy 3?
Production on the third film of the Guardians Of The Galaxy franchise just finished filming last week. Now the film has entered the post-production phase. Meanwhile, the film’s cast and crew are taking to their social media to share their account of the shoot. Likewise, Drax actor Dave Batista shared a post on his Instagram with his fellow cast members and the film’s director. He captioned it: “I haven’t found the words yet. It ended so suddenly and I was on my way to my next movie before I could handle it all. End of a journey that changed my life.”
However, fans on the internet went crazy after Batista’s post. The reason was a hashtag he used in the photo; it was GoodbyeDrax. It indicates that this could be the end of the road for Batista as Drax. And he may not return to the role after Guardians Of The Galaxy 3. For example, many fans have argued about whether the actor screwed up the movie.
If fans’ concerns are true, Batista may have screwed up the movie and his character Drax may not make it out of the third GOTG movie alive. While we don’t know if this is a bug on Batista’s part or a well-planned marketing tactic, fans are genuinely concerned about Drax’s future in MCU. On the movie side, it could also mean viewers could see another actor playing Drax in the future of MCU.
Set Photos Reveal Prominent Details
Recent photos from the production of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 provide narrative details for the upcoming Marvel movie. The shooting of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3 was finally completed this week. The plot of the film has been kept secret. However, since set photos have been shared, astute fans have been able to piece together details about the MCU movie. Many fans believe that their Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 suspicions regarding Counter-Earth and the High Evolutionary have been proven thanks to new set photos.
There were pictures of human-like, animal-like animals in Earth-like or Earth-like environments. These images suggest that the MCU will visit Counter-Earth and that the High Evolutionary will be featured in the most recent movie. The High Evolutionary is a human biologist who develops Counter-Earth, a “pure” version of the Earth in which no superhumans exist. Thanos destroys the original Counter-Earth, which is later replaced by a new counterpart.
The humanoid species produced by the High Evolutionary populate the new form of Counter-Earth. These set photos are compelling evidence that Counter-Earth will appear in Guardians of the Galaxy 3. It’s unclear whether the film will be set entirely on Counter-Earth or in one of its many locations.
Adam Warlock in Guardian Of The Galaxy Holiday Special?
Adam Warlock joined the MCU thanks to one of the many post-credit sequences in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. In the comics, he plays an important role in the Infinity Saga and is tied to the soul gem. As a result, several speculated that he would appear in both Infinity War and Endgame. That plan, of course, failed. However, he will appear in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as Will Poulter.
It wouldn’t be shocking if he appeared in the Holiday Special. While he would almost certainly play a major role in it, it doesn’t seem to fit the unique concept. Nevertheless, it might foreshadow Poulter’s key position in the upcoming film by introducing him as Warlock in a minor way, such as as a post-credits stinger.
