Fortnite can be an absolute pleasure to play with your friends, but being matched with random players is more hit and miss. In some of the randomized groups I’ve been in, coordinating an effective strategy can be a challenging undertaking, especially if some team members want to jump into battle while others prefer to play it slow. To help you find better teammates, Fortnite Developer Epic Games is testing new social tags for profiles that will show you how you like to play and can be used to match you with other like-minded players.
According to a blog post, tags include things like your favorite game modes and whether or not you want to use a microphone. If you’ve added at least one social tag, you can send and receive party invites from people with matching tags who are located in your server region using a new ‘Looking for Party’ section in the sidebar menu. You can turn “Looking For Party” on or off, so if you don’t want to receive invites from other players based on your tags, just turn it off.
Here’s a look at the new #fortnite Social Tags feature rolling out to some players and will be available to everyone soon after!

You may not have social tags and Looking For Party features yet as they are currently being tested. “These features will be rolled out incrementally to all players at a pace that depends on the test,” said Epic. And you have to make sure you have the latest update of the game, which was released on Tuesday†
Epic off to a good start Fortnite’s last season earlier in June, and it’s all about the vibes. Darth Vader is an unlockable skin for this season’s Battle Pass, and as part of the latest update you can fight him on the Fortnite island to get a throwable lightsaber.
