Kedarnath peaks are witnessing fresh snowfall as rainfall continued in Rudraprayag and nearby areas. The mercury level is expected to fall further.

By India Today Web Desk: Fresh snow fell on the Kedarnath peaks on Sunday as rainfall continued in Rudraprayag and nearby areas. According to the reports, Kedarnath Dham has had light to moderate rainfall since yesterday.
Heavy snowfall was recorded on the peaks around Kedarnath Dham. People were seen putting on their sweaters and jackets because of the temperature drop.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cloudy weather in Kedarnath with a chance of moderate rain or thunderstorms, with a minimum temperature of around -4 degrees Celsius on Sunday. The maximum temperature is expected to drop to 0.5 degrees Celsius.
With more rainfall forecasted in the area, mercury levels are expected to drop further in the coming days.
But despite the drop in temperature, devotees were seen outside the temple, completing their Kedarnath Yatra.
Several parts of northwestern India have experienced moderate to heavy rainfall.
Delhi has witnessed torrential downpours in recent days, breaking the 50-year-old record. The difference between the maximum and minimum temperatures was the lowest in Delhi since 1969.
The city received 74mm until 8:30 a.m. Sunday, bringing the temperature difference between day and night to a record low.
