†gamers!‘ was one of the anime that enlivened the summer of 2017 in the romantic comedy genre. What is the storyline of the anime?
Our main character’s name is Amano Keita† Keita, a sophomore in high school, has only one love: playing games. Plays games from all platforms like mobile games, consoles, PC. His favorites are romantic-themed RPGs and visual novel games. The lady of the series is Tendo Karen, the most popular high school girl, with her elite demeanor and high grades. Karen’s greatest passion is also playing games. She even managed to re-establish the school play club and became three people, including himself.
One day Karen approaches Keita. Everyone is surprised by this situation because the school’s favorite girl is talking to the nerdy Keita. Karen invites him to the game club. The anime hasn’t come yet renewed for a second season, but the light novel provides ample source material for the second season. While anime is popular on online streaming platforms and social media, the first season’s disc sales were way below target, and it’s not the studio’s most valuable anime. After three years, a new season doesn’t seem likely, but we think we’re going to see a new season with a 50% opportunity. The average production time is one year.
