Han So-hee, the star of My Name, is currently undergoing treatment after injuring herself on the set of her upcoming drama, Gyeongseong Creature, according to Sports Chosun on Wednesday, Aug. 3. she did it in My Name. In reality, the claimed injury appears to have resulted from the filming of one of these sequences. The long-awaited historical drama is set in the spring of 1945, at a difficult time for South Korea. Two young adults fight for survival against the beast of the same name in the historical fantasy drama. Park Seo-Joon also appears in the highly anticipated drama.
Fans react quickly as the agency verifies the injury.
Han So-hee was injured in the face during the filming of the program, South Korean news agency Sports Chosun said on Aug. 3. The actor was then taken to the hospital’s emergency room. According to the same story, the performer injured herself while shooting an action scene, and the proximity of the injury to her eyes may require surgery. After the reveal, many admirers of the actor took to social media to express their concerns and wish her a speedy recovery.
Shortly after, a representative of Han So agency hee’s 9ato Entertainment allayed some of the concerns of the fans. Although the actor suffered a facial injury while shooting Gyeongseong Creature, the agency said it is not serious and would not require surgery:
“Han So Hee suffered a facial injury today (August 3) while shooting ‘Gyeongseong Creature’. Fortunately, the damage is minor. She is not in a position to have surgery.”
They also announced that the shooting schedule would continue as planned for the time being. The agency, on the other hand, will ensure that Han So-hee has adequate rest and fully recovers before continuing filming. It is not the first time that the actor has been injured while filming an action scene. Her most recent film, the action-packed My Name, had the actress take on the role of a woman on the hunt for revenge. While the action sequences stunned the audience, Han So-hee collapsed during filming due to the injuries and strain sustained during one of the sequences.
Meanwhile, Park Seo-Joon plays Jang Tae-sang, a rich man from Bukchon who has a natural sense of sight and understands how to get around the world. Han So-hee plays Yoon Chae-ok, a missing persons investigator. Kang Eun-kyung from Dr. Romantic wrote the script for the drama, which was directed by Jung Dong-Yoon, who previously directed Stove League.
