Age and early life of Harjinder Kaur
Harjinder Kaur is born on October 14, 1996, in the hamlet of Mehas in Patiala district, Punjab. She completed her education in Punjab while living in the hamlet of Mehas. She attended the government school of Nabha, which was close to her village.
She then continued her education at SGTB Khalsa College in Anandpur Sahib. Harjinder is now 25 years old. It took a while for Harjinder’s instructor, Mr. Paramjeet Sharma, to persuade her to start lifting weights. In 2016, she attended a Kabaddi camp at Punjab University. Parmjeet Sharma, the weightlifting coach at Punjabi University, recognized her strength. He suggested she try weightlifting. After some time Harjinder started her training.

She won the tug of war and gave her everything in the game. Paramjeet Sharma saw her strength and encouraged her to continue her weightlifting profession. She started her weightlifting career when she was a teenager. Harjinder had previously studied Kabaddi with her instructor, Surinder Singh.
In 2016, she participated in her first weightlifting tournament. She won her first gold medal at the 2017 Women Inter-State National Weightlifting Championship in Kolkata.
