Love Is Blind is definitely one of the most popular dating shows today. The Japanese version of the show, hosted by Takashi Fujii and Yuka Itaya, was released on Netflix on February 2, 2022. In the first season, we saw eight couples on their quest for love, taking into account their appearance. And since the first season ended, fans have already started waiting for Love Is Blind Japan Season 2. Here’s what we know about it.
What to expect from Love Is Blind Japan Season 2?
When the series returns for Love Is Blind Japan Season 2, it will follow the franchise’s established pattern. The second season invites a new group of singles ready to find love, date, and maybe even get engaged through a wall. The scholarships take a total of ten days to get to know each other in these ‘pods’ before being asked to make their final decision. Then a happy couple will deserve a getaway on a romantic vacation.

During the outing, they will discover that their emotional bond is strong enough to overcome physical attraction. The couples will persevere in the process by living together for about a month. If all goes well, only the couple can walk down the aisle together and prove that love is blind.
Where are Ryotaro and Motomi going?

Fans first met Ryotaro and Motomi in the first season of Love Is Blind Japan. And from that moment on, we could notice the unequivocal spark between the two. Therefore, no one was really surprised when the two got engaged at the end of the first season. They both had a charming ability to express their clumsiness when they first met face to face. Both also unpretentiously met each other’s parents. They happily promised, as promised in the pods, to do this forever while also standing at the altar.
Since then, it seems that they have continued to expand their relationship while living in Tokyo, showing that they fell for each other’s hearts and humanity for the first time. At the time of writing, neither Ryotaro nor Motomi have made any public statements regarding this aspect of their lives. It’s not surprising considering how their entire story was recently captured in the Netflix original. However, we should point out that while the former is a hairstylist and fashion store supervisor, the latter is a marketing salesperson, a Chinchilla mom and a foodie.
When will Love Is Blind Japan Season 2 come out?
The full first season of the Japanese version of Love Is Blind premiered on Netflix on February 8, 2022. The season ended on February 22, leaving fans with a warm itch in their hearts. Speaking of the reality dating series’ second season, it’s still very early to say anything. Given that it’s only been a few hours since the last episode of the first season premiered, it’s no surprise that there has been no official announcement from the creators or the platform about the show’s renewal for Love Is Blind Japan season. 2.

However, there’s more than a fair chance that the streaming giant will bring the show back for another season, given the huge devoted fanbase that various renditions of the reality series have generated in the past.
Fans can cast people from different backgrounds in the second season. Chris Coelen, the creator of the series, previously said about the reality show: “We are actually not looking for anything. We’re setting it up and tracking where it goes.” He added, “When people who conventionally you wouldn’t think are physically compatible fall in love, great. But that’s the point: what is your perception of what the word ‘mismatch’ means?”
