The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange warning for heavy rainfall in the Awadh region of Uttar Pradesh.

By India Today Web Desk: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange warning for heavy rainfall in the Awadh region of Uttar Pradesh. According to the weather department, rainfall in the Awadh region of the state will continue.
Furthermore, heavy rain will fall in Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Barabanki.
The IMD issued a storm warning, saying heavy rainfall will occur in most regions of UP until Oct. 12 and is likely to ease after that.
RAIN SITUATION
Normal life spiraled out of control when heavy rains continued in many parts of the country on Sunday. After the flooding, traffic on Balrampur-Badhri National Highway 730 continued to be disrupted.
As many as nine people died in rain-related incidents in Uttar Pradesh. Schools are closed in Lucknow, Noida, Ghaziabad due to heavy rain warning.
In Aligarh, all schools through grade 12 will remain closed until Oct. 12, officials said.
According to IMD, UP recorded an average of 22.5mm of rain on Sunday, which is 2.396 percent more than the “long-term average” (LPA) for the day, PTI said in a report.
