Amazon’s superpowered people the boys are a danger in themselves, but it is Vought – the immensely powerful and unscrupulous megacorporation that they have secretly created – that is the greatest threat to the world. This has been apparent since the very first installment of the series, and while it sometimes seems like the organization is about to get its comeuppance, there’s a new trailer for it. the boysThe upcoming third season makes it clear that Vought is far from giving up.
the boysSeason two described how, in addition to secretly exposing children to chemicals that eventually led to the world’s population of superhumans, Vought also knowingly persuaded a deranged Nazi to join the Seven, the flagship team of superheroes. If the truth about Vought ever fully caught on with the general public, you could imagine the company would crumble immediately. But in the Season 3 trailer, it appears that Vought is holding up pretty well as Homelander (Antony Starr) does damage control while promoting Vought’s upcoming movie about the Seven.
In how does it feel? the boys direct wink to the Sinclair Broadcast Group lets local news stations recite scripts, Homelander appears on several news channels, both to promote the film and to distance himself from his anti-Semitic former teammate. Nothing about Homelander’s words rings particularly true, as he says the same thing to every reporter he speaks to, and he’s always been prone to cheating. But the way Homelander is clearly mentally tearing apart points to the boysGreater exploration of Vought’s self-destruction isn’t over.
