By India Today Web Desk: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress attacked Prime Minister Modi, saying that the Morbi Civil Hospital – where the injured from the Gujarat bridge collapse – was being painted to cover up the flaws in preparation for his visit on Tuesday. The two sides said the hospital has been painted so that the prime minister can hold “photo shoots”.
AAP’s official Twitter account shared a video that reportedly shows the hospital being painted before Prime Minister Modi’s visit. It criticized the BJP, saying: “141 people are dead, hundreds are missing, no action has been taken against the real culprits, but BJP employees are busy hiding to prepare for the photo shoot.”

Congress also shared photos and said the hospital had just been painted and new tiles had been installed to prepare for Prime Minister Modi’s visit. It also criticized the Prime Minister, saying: “They are not ashamed! So many people have died and they are preparing an event.”
AAP Delhi MLA Naresh Balyan also commented on the matter, saying, “There is a limit to shamelessness.”
Gujarat Congress spokesman Hemang Raval said: “When so many people die, painting and decoration work is done in the civilian hospital in Morbi. The BJP is known only for its event management. There are two kinds of disasters, but the BJP in Gujarat is it third type of disaster. Instead of painting and decorating, they have to make sure that the patients get good treatment.”
On Sunday night, a suspension bridge collapsed in the Morbi neighborhood of Gujarat, killing more than 130 people. The tragedy shocked the nation, with condolences pouring in from all corners.
