Private life
Frank married Joyce in his thirties and the two have been together ever since – they live in Providence and have five children, and now seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two of his children have pursued careers in politics, with his eldest Frank T. Carpio being the general treasurer of Rhode Island. He is also the first American political candidate to use on-demand television as part of his platform. His second son David Caprio has served as the representative for Rhode Island’s District 34, following in his father’s footsteps as a lawyer.
