KARACHI: ILMA University and Defense Housing Authority, Karachi has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a scholarship for its deserving employees, DHA members and their children.
According to a press release, the purpose of the MoU is to promote academic excellence and facilitate access to quality education for the community. As part of the partnership, the two organizations will work together to identify deserving candidates and provide scholarships in a variety of disciplines, including business administration, software engineering, computer science, media and fashion design.
At the MoU signing ceremony, Professor Mansoor Uz Zafar Dawood, Vice Chancellor of the University of ILMA, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership and emphasized the role of education in promoting economic development and social progress in the community .
He added, “We are delighted to partner with DHA Karachi for scholarships, internships, job opportunities, promotion of sports, joint academic research and joint CSR initiatives.”
Kashif Fazal, Director of Marketing & Public Relations, DHA Col (Retd) stressed the importance of collaboration between academic institutions and industry partners for the development of human resources in the country.
Other senior officials from both organizations including Fawad Mahmood Butt and Sajida Qureshi also attended the occasion.
