India condemns terror attack on Shah-e-Cherag shrine in Iran

At least 15 people were killed and 40 others injured in the attack on the shrine in the city of Shiraz on Wednesday evening.

By Press Trust of India: India on Saturday strongly condemned the terror attack on Iran’s Shah-e-Cherag shrine, saying it is yet another reminder that terrorism remains one of the greatest threats to international peace and security.

At least 15 people were killed and 40 others injured in the attack on the shrine in the city of Shiraz on Wednesday night, according to reports from Iran.

“India strongly condemns the terror attack on the Shah-e-Cherag shrine in Shiraz, Iran. We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and the people of Iran,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA).

It said the world must fight terrorism unitedly.

“This horrific attack is a further reminder that terrorism continues to be one of the greatest and critical threats to international peace and security and that the time has come for countries of the world to unite and combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. fight,” the president said. MEA reports this in a statement.
