By India Today Web Desk: India has risen to 40th place in the global innovation index this year, PM Modi said in a pre-recorded message at the Bengaluru Tech summit on Wednesday.

“In 2015, we were ranked 81st. The number of unicorn startups in India has doubled. We are now the third largest in the world. This is because of India’s talent pool,” said Prime Minister Modi.
