To ensure that the consular needs of its students in China are facilitated in a timely manner, the Indian embassy in Beijing has asked students to complete the registration form.

By Press Trust of India: As Indian students detained at home due to the Covid travel ban gradually returned to rejoin their colleges in China after Beijing began issuing visas, the Indian embassy here on Friday asked to register with the mission to ensure timely facilitation of their consular needs .
More than 23,000 Indian students, mostly medical students, are reportedly stuck at home due to Covid visa restrictions.
China began issuing visas for students licensed by their Chinese colleges and universities to return to resume their studies.
But they are finding it difficult to travel to China as both countries have yet to resume flight services. More than 100 students reportedly returned via flight routes in third countries or via Hong Kong.

The Indian Embassy in its latest opinion (https://www.eoibeijing.gov.in/eoibejing_listview/MTE0OA) urged the returning students to join the mission.
With concerted efforts, Indian medical students have begun to return to mainland China to rejoin their respective universities. In order to meet their consular needs in a timely manner, Indian students in China are requested to complete the registration form, according to the message on the embassy’s website.
They can register with the Indian Embassy or Indian Consulates in Shanghai or Guangzhou, it says. It also contained the names of the officials and their contact details.
All Indian students are encouraged to register so that the embassy/consulates can contact them for assistance as soon as possible. Students who have yet to return to China are only allowed to complete the form after they reach China, it added.
