IPO-linked OYO acquires Danish holiday home chain Bornholmske Feriehuse. about

In line with its commitment to the ‘To invest in Denmark‘ initiative, online hospitality major oh yo has acquired the European-based holiday home operator Bornholmske Feriehusewhich aims to accelerate the growth of travel and tourism in the market.



Bornholmske Feriehuse, which has more than 700 houses on its platform, is located on the island of Bornholm in Denmark and is expected to clock in more than 2,50,000 guest nights by 2022.

“I’m delighted when we’re welcome rasmus and integrate Bornholmske Feriehuse under the OYO brand. Bornholm shows great potential for tourism in the coming years. We are pleased to extend the partnership to the ‘Invest in Denmark’ initiative and work on tourism development in Bornholm and Denmark,” Ritesh Agarwal, Founder and Group CEO, OYO, said in a statement.

‘Investing in Denmark’ helps attract and retain foreign investment in Denmark by providing a total tailor-made service for foreign companies that want to set up or expand a business in Denmark.

Bornholmske Feriehuse was founded in 2002 by Rasmus Lund and Jacob Lund. It has 737 holiday homes exclusively spread over 30 holiday parks. It is a full-stack operator that provides end-to-end solutions to homeowners.

In the near future, the holiday homes from Bornholmske Feriehuse will be available for booking via more than 130 online portals with which DanCenter works closely together.

“The partnership with OYO through DanCenter A/s therefore gives us the opportunity to meet the demand, just as our homeowners also benefit from the many online portals DanCenter works with. The agreement can help our many vacation home owners to higher rental rate, while also contributing income and jobs to Bornholm,” said Rasmus Lund, director of Bornholmske Feriehuse.
