Early life and education

Jennie Jacques was born on February 28, 1989 in Coventry, England, which makes Pisces her zodiac sign. Her family moved a lot when she was younger, so she grew up in different cities, most notably Leamington Spa and Warwick, England.

She has four brothers and two sisters – one sister was diagnosed with epilepsy at a very young age, so the family struggled to fund her brain surgeries and therapies. Most of her private information is kept out of the public eye, so nothing further is known about her parents’ names or her educational background.

Jacques made her acting debut in 2009 when she guest-starred as Katie Fielding in the ITV series “The Bill”.

That same year, she had a recurring role on the BBC drama miniseries “Desperate Romantics”, which starred the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, appearing alongside Samuel Barnett. In 2010, she portrayed Emily Mullins in an episode of the third season of the TV series “Lark Rise to Candleford”, and got her first feature film role in “Shank”, portraying Ree Ree and then playing Beth in the horror film “Cherry Tree Avenue”. .

In 2012, Jacques briefly appeared in the TV series “Love Life”, portraying Tilly in two episodes of the first season. Later that year, she starred in the horror mystery film “Truth or Dare”, also known as “Truth or Die” outside the UK.

In 2013, she landed the lead role of WPC Gina Dawson in the BBC series about a policewoman operating in a 1950s male-dominated world, “WPC 56”, which remains on the show until the end of the second season.

Jacques had her breakthrough role in 2015, when she replaced Sarah Green as Judith in the History Channel’s series “Vikings,” directed by Michael Hirst. She retained the role of the Princess of Wessex and Northumbria for three seasons, and also had a role in the “Vikings” spin-off series, “Athelstan’s Journal”.

That same year, she played the recurring role of Tash in the ITV sitcom “The Delivery Man”, but gave up the role so she could spend her time filming “Vikings”.

In 2019, she portrayed Amber Saunders in the drama series “London Kills”, appearing alongside Hugo Speer and Bailey Patrick, and made a brief appearance in the romantic TV series “Four Weddings and a Funeral”.

Jacques was recently announced to appear in the unaired TV series, “The No Hopers”.

Private life

Jacques is quite a private person, so not much information is released about her private life. She was in a relationship with actor and producer Evan Todd, but the exact date their unit started and ended is unknown.

As of April 2020, it will not be disclosed if she is dating anyone. She hasn’t been seen at any public events with anyone after her split from Todd, and she’s not romantically attached to anyone. She often promotes various charities and organizations that try to help people who are fighting epilepsy, and is a frequent guest at various charity events and fundraising challenges that support this cause. Jacques started this because of her sister’s diagnosis.

One of these foundations she supports is Young Epilepsy, based in Lingfield, UK. Some of the organization’s other famous ambassadors include Nicholas Owen, Leon Legge, and Kerry Howard.

She also supports the Epilepsy Association. When asked about her experience with this condition, she said, “I’ve seen how epilepsy affects the life of another person and someone I love.” She is active on most social media platforms such as Facebook where she runs her own page, Twitter and Instagram.

In the TV series “Vikings”, Jacques is actually only 10 years older than Ferdia Walsh-Peelo, her on-screen son.
