After Tom Henderson from tryhardguides.com published an article mention the existence of a new Hideo Kojima game in development under the title Overdosehe says that Kojima Productions has contacted and asked to remove it (via Kotaku† Henderson refused. In conversation with KotakuHenderson said the request came with an offer to work with him when they can share more, presumably once the game is ready to be officially announced.
Henderson’s report goes on to highlight details of the leaked footage he received of the game that apparently appears Death Stranding actress Margaret Qualey. Henderson describes Qualley, who played the bespectacled mama in Death Stranding, running down a dark hallway with a flashlight. There is a startle response, then the screen breaks down to text that reads “GAMEOVER”. Henderson later tweeted that his interaction with Kojima Productions was not hostile and that they were “all things considered, very understanding”. The company has not yet issued a formal statement in this regard.
The report is temporarily unavailable as I’ve added a minor update, but it needs approval (the beauty of writing at 6am).
The update only says “Update – Kojima Productions has since requested to remove the publication of this report, which we declined.” on the report.

With this alleged leak, this marks the second time a Hideo Kojima joint has been revealed ahead of its time. In May, Norman Reedus, star of Death Strandingseemed to confirm the existence of the sequel in an interview with Lion magazine†
“It takes a lot of work,” Reedus said of: Death Stranding† “And then the game came out, and it just won all these awards, and it was something huge, so we just started part two of that.”
Both leaks happen to be timed as: Kojima’s best friend Geoff Keighley is about to kick off its not-quite-E3 Summer Game Fest event taking place June 9-12. Kojima is not scheduled to attend the event, and Keighley himself has urged fans to “managing their expectations” against big, surprising revelations. Then again, with Kojima’s quirkiness, you never know.
