Kristin Cavallari, an American television personality, spoke about her divorce from ex-husband Jay Cutler, calling it the “greatest thing” she’s ever done. On a June 29 edition of The School of Greatness podcast, the 35-year-old actress shared how her divorce from the NFL star led her to self-love.
“Divorce is the scariest thing I’ve ever done.” But it’s the best thing I’ve ever done, and it really helped me on my path of self-love and discovering who I am today.”
The Laguna Beach star went on to say that her children inspired her to be the “best version” of herself.
“I can only be as good as I am to my children.” I can’t offer them anything when I’m empty. The ability to be energetic and to love me in order to be able to love my children – to support and encourage them – is the most essential.”
Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler divorced in 2020 and have three children: Camden, Saylor and Jaxon.
Kristin Cavallari doesn’t want to date anyone after her divorce.
The creator of Uncommon James said she’s in no rush to date anyone new because she’s in a “very serene place” feeling the “best and happiest” she’s ever felt.
“I’m no longer afraid of getting hurt.”
At the same time, she is curious who will appear in her life in the future.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing who I can be in a new relationship because I feel like I’ve put in so much effort over the past few years.” I’m not looking for a new relationship right now, but when I do I’m excited to see how different I can be.”
Earlier on the show, the Hills star discussed how her divorce affected her life and how everything felt “sad” as she went through it.
“Whatever I discovered when I was going through a divorce… [is that] even if we believe that the world is falling apart, we will always be so unhappy, everything will always be bad – we will get through it…then we look back and understand why everything happened.’
Kristin Cavallari went on to say that as kids get older, they can understand how it all made sense. She went on to say that she is “eager” for what life has in store for her. Kristin Cavallari and Jay met in 2010 after a mutual acquaintance introduced them. We clicked right away, as the actress recalled in her 2016 biography, Balancing in Heels, as “balancing each other nicely”.
After eight months of dating, they were engaged, but broke up three months later. A source told US Weekly at the time that Cutler had cold feet and ended the business a week after their engagement party. According to Page Six, the Very Cavallari actress filed for divorce in April 2020 after Cutler was unable to find work after leaving the Bears in 2017 and becoming “lazy and unproductive”.
