Ludhiana. (To Be Honest/Jasveer Singh Gahl/Raghbir Singh) Police recovered the body of a blood-soaked youth in a truck at the local Focal Point Phase-6. After identifying the deceased young person, the police filed a report and took action. According to the information, Gurjit Singh alias Jeetu s/o Karm Singh, resident of Chowdhary Wala village (District Tarn Taran) with truck number HP 12C 2729 had come from Baddi in Himachal to unload cardboard from a shop in Focal Point Phase 6, Ludhiana.

Late Tuesday evening when Gurjeet and another driver Manpreet Singh were unloading cardboard into the truck on the road. During this UP, there was an argument with Gurjeet and Manpreet about giving way to car number one, in which 4 youths were driving. Whereupon the motorist escaped from the spot after hitting them both. After this, the drunk driver Gurjeet went to sleep in his car. When Manpreet did not come out of the truck in the morning, as soon as Gurjeet went to collect him, he lay dead in the truck, bleeding from the head and foaming at the mouth.
The people present at the scene immediately informed the police station about the incident, where the superintendent of the police station, Amandeep Singh Brar, came to the scene, took the dead body into custody and sent it to post-mortem examination and inquired around the area . ACP Jasveer Singh Gill said the truck driver’s body has been found and police have launched an investigation. He said that nothing can be said about the cause of death of the truck driver at this time. Further action will be taken after scanning the images from CCTV cameras.
