When the show began, the protagonist Ezequiel “EZ” Reyes had just left prison and was about to become a full member of the Santo padre Mayan motorcycle gang. Since then he has gained rank, but his progress in the organization has come at a price. Mayans MC Season 4 Episode 3 titled “Self Portrait in a Blue Bathroom” was released on April 26, 2022, was directed by Brett Dos Santos and was written by Gerald Cuesta. This episode started where El Banquero, the leader of the Lobos Sonora Cartel. two men were seen tied to chairs as they have stolen a watch and were threatened with torture by the leader. At last El Banquero, shoots the man who he thinks had stolen the watch, to prove himself horrid.
In “Self Portrait in a Blue Bathroom” we have seen Emily Galindo reveal that he has left Cristobal Galindo with her sister. As the episode moved ahead Emily made it clear that she fears Miguel Galindo’s return. She is afraid of Miguel Galindo for hurting her and her family. She informed Erin that she will be back till next weekend and instructed her to go off the country. Emily has tons of hidden money and resources that she has to escape.
In Mayans M.C. season 3, Steve committed suicide. Now, Hank visits steve’s family and gives them his dog. He also has a long monologue about how Steve was a loyal brother, which is clearly meant to reflect on his loyalties being divided between Bishop and Alvarez.
EZ has two different faces in “Self Portrait in Blue Bathroom.” The first sees him taking his new dog, Sally, back to the pound after she destroys his trailer. While there, he talks with Sophia, who helps him understand Sally is just anxious about being in a new place. She also casually mentions she had a daughter with anxiety and asks EZ not to give up on the dog. Is she a new love interest for EZ? Yeah, probably. After getting back from the pound, EZ finds JJ — someone he was in prison with — waiting outside. They drink and talk. JJ reveals life has been a bit rough for him since he left prison, but that he’s now got two kids. As the conversation progresses, JJ begins questioning EZ’s disappearance from prison when he began working with the US Government. EZ tries to explain away what happened, but things get tense, and it’s clear JJ doesn’t put much stock in what he’s saying.
