A man was beaten red and blue on suspicion of cattle smuggling. The West Bengal Police has arrived at the scene and is investigating.

By India Today Web Desk: A man was beaten red and blue in Howrah in West Bengal on suspicion of smuggling cattle. An angry man set fire to his two-wheeler and they told authorities that the suspect was trying to get an ox into their car.

West Bengal Police reached the spot and an investigation is underway.

“The locals witnessed some cattle smugglers take an ox in their wagon. The accused was caught and handed over to the police. The rest of them fled the place and went into hiding. The locals set fire to his car which was used for the deed,” a local told ANI.
