Despite being born in Ghana, Mohammed now plays for the Qatar national team. The reason for this was his pursuit of Qatari clubs. He had the opportunity to travel to the El Jaish multi-sport club in Qatar after joining the Glow Lamp program in Ghana. His playing performance impressed the officials of the Qatar national team who encouraged him to play for the side, changing his nationality.
As a Ghanaian, the choice was not difficult for him as he had left his country at the age of 17 to pursue a career in Qatar and got an early opportunity to play for a national team, which was a significant achievement for him.

The Qatar national team will also participate in the 2022 FIFA World Cup as hosts. Mohammed will play the forward position for his respective national team. He will take part in his first World Cup after Qatar qualified for the tournament for the first time ever.

Mohammed will be honored to play at the World Cup. It was a pity for him that he could not play for his country’s national team. According to Mohammed, it would be great to represent a country in the World Cup, but it would not be so great to represent Ghana. Apart from Ghana, Mohammed is happy to claim that Qatar is also his country as they gave him the chance to participate in the World Cup which was a huge honor for him.
He said that the Qatar national team treated him with immense respect and care despite the fact that he did not previously belong to Qatar and that it became a great duty for him to serve the national team successfully.
