Everyone has those weeks when we have too much on our mind to express a solid thought. The weeks in which we can barely form a word, or in this case an article. Those weeks are the worst. In fact, they are called Monday week. The week where you wake up every day and fall into the silly hands of Monday ‘Oops’. Where falling down the stairs is the only way to get by in this situation.
Since this is one of those weeks for myself, I only have a few things to say. If this is your Monday week. To breathe. Take a step back. Everything will be fine. During this week, it seems like all your choices are crumbled and thrown in your face. You don’t seem to be doing anything right and your memory is as sharp as a butter knife. Sarcasm is a necessity and undeniably a frequently used resource. When people ask what’s going on, we have to learn to keep it to ourselves. Something is just meant to be personal. Beyond the confidentiality of your situation, not everyone deserves to know your business.
Whatever you’re going through, take your time and build yourself up. Take a warm bath. Eat an extra piece of pie. turn this Monday in a ice cream sundae. It’s important to remember the self-care when there isn’t much left to accumulate. Look at the big picture and share it. If the situation doesn’t change who you are as a person and what you were put on this earth for, then it’s not worth your time. Everything is temporary, but you are stuck with yourself forever. The money will come and go, relationships will bend and break, but it’s yourself you have to live with. Be selfish and take this on Monday week.
