More PlayStation 5 consoles are coming to Walmart tomorrow

We are still seeing a shortage or no supply of PlayStation 5 consoles at many retailers and we are going weeks between new nationwide restocks. Hopefully this summer will prove more fruitful, and a good (though small) sign is that Walmart has a PS5 event tomorrow.

If you’re a Walmart Plus subscriber, you’ll get the chance to queue for a standard $499 disc drive-equipped PlayStation 5 Thursday, June 2 at 3 p.m. ET. This is another supplement exclusive to paying Walmart Plus members, but since we’re notified in advance, you’ll have plenty of time to pay the minimum $12.95 for a month of membership for the drop. Yes, you get other benefits from Walmart like free deliveries, but we end up paying just to play the restock game. Remember, though, you can always cancel the subscription once you’ve landed your shiny new console.

With Sony’s flagship next-gen console, which includes a disc drive, you can play both digital and physical games for the PS4 and PS5.

As for the console landing tomorrow, you should be ready to refresh the page as soon as the clock strikes 3:00 PM ET / 12PM PT. Feel free to try it in a desktop browser and the Walmart app on your phone at the same time, and use a site like time is to keep a close eye on the correct time.

You will be put in a queue and just ready to hold on. Stay patient and don’t leave your spot in line until the restocking event has ended, especially since Walmart often loads the stock in waves on its site. Once it’s your turn, you’ll have 10 minutes to check out with a PS5. Since you must be a Walmart Plus subscriber, your billing and shipping information should already be good.
