After Amul, another dairy major, Mother Dairy, has increased the milk price for full cream and cow’s milk varieties by 2 per liter with effect from Sunday (16 October).
A Mother Dairy spokesperson said the dairy industry is experiencing a constant rise in raw milk prices, which have risen by about ₹3/kg in the past two months alone, due to a multiple increase in varied input costs. .
“Increased feed prices and low rainfall in some northern states have exacerbated the situation, so we are forced to review prices to support farmers and ensure the availability of quality milk to consumers,” he said.
