Munugode bypolls proved how justice wins, says KTR after TRS . win

TRS leader KTR, addressing the media after the party’s Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy won the Munugode bypoll, said: “This election has proved how justice wins.”

By Apoorva Jayachandran : TRS working president KT Rama Rao on Sunday thanked the people of Munugode for the party’s victory in the bijpoll elections and said the elections proved how “justice wins”.

TRS’s Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy won the Munugode bypoll against BJP candidate Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy by a margin of 10,113 votes. “This was not only a victory for us, but a verdict that delivered a damning verdict on Delhi bosses Modi and Amit Shah,” KTR said while addressing media.

KTR said TRS accepted their defeat in Dubbak and Huzurabad. “We weren’t the ones who got aggressive, talked irrationally and spat out words,” he added.

According to him, the TRS received more votes in this election than in the previous one. “So many attempts have been made, so many half attempts have been made to bring us down, we can also talk about the Delhi brokers but we are not doing that. We don’t have that mentality,” he added.

He went on to say: “Maybe the face shown during the Munugode elections was that of Raj Gopal Reddy, but we all know the puppeteer was Amit Shah and Modi.” He added that the people of Munugode gave an appropriate response to BJP’s “ahankar” (ego).

He also criticized other BJP leaders for their alleged involvement in cases involving disproportionate assets. The TRS leader said: “Etela Rajender has been caught with unbooked money. Wasn’t that the truth?”

He also spoke about the TRS complaint to the Election Commission of India (ECI) that Raj Gopal Reddy’s company Sushee Infra transferred more than Rs 5 crore to various party leaders. “Sushee Infra and the funds that were transferred, was that not true or not? But ECI responded back saying there was a lack of evidence. Whose hand was behind it?” KTR asked.

He then turned to the people of the state and said, ‘I ask the Telangana public, if you are talking about being greedy, who were the real money conscious people? Have you not seen it?”

He attacked the BJP saying, “Everything the BJP has done so far is fake. The promises they made were fake. At the highest level they are fake and here their people are joking.”
