Hugh resided in a huge 21 thousand square foot Playboy Mansion in the city of Los Angeles, California for more than four decades from 1974 to 2017. During the 1970s, the mansion was known for hosting lavish parties thrown by Hugh which were attended by many famous celebrities and socialites.
The mansion has 29 rooms, a movie theater, three zoos, tennis and basketball courts, and several pools. Needless to mention, there was a room and board for Hugh’s live-in girlfriends. Many people were under the impression that Hugh was the owner of the famous Playboy mansion, however, the house was owned by Playboy Enterprises.
Hugh used to pay an annual fee of approximately $1 million towards rent and other expenses incurred for food and miscellaneous party expenditure. The mansion was put up for sale in January 2016 for an ask price of $200 million which was a huge premium for a relatively comparable house in the same locality.
Eventually, six months later it was sold for $110 million to Daren Metropoulos, son of billionaire businessman C. Dean Metropoulos.
