ViacomCBS has finally cut the timing for some of its international Paramount+ launches. if Variety reportsannounced Paramount Global during a call for profit that the streaming service will arrive in the UK and Ireland on June 22. South Korea will also have access sometime in June. In other parts of the world, however, you’ll have to wait a little longer. Austria, France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland can start watching in the second half of 2022, while people in India will have to wait until 2023.
In the UK you pay £7 a month or £70 a year. Sky Cinema customers get Paramount+ included at no extra cost.
The expansion is welcome if you wanted to watch Halo and other shows that have remained exclusive to Paramount+ thus far. However, this won’t get everyone excited. Until the end of last year, ViacomCBS made shows like Star Trek: Discovery available outside of Paramount+ coverage areas through rivals such as Netflix. You now need to subscribe to yet another service to follow the affected shows.
